The Meat Heat

it all started after watching a tv cook show....

"hey... let's make meatloaf.... i like meatloaf.... " i told mum, even though i've never tried it.. hah.
"ok. but we've got to get the stuff first." mum replied.

it took us a really long time, maybe 2 weeks, to get the stuff. not that they were that hard to find. they were common ingredients like meat, bread, mustard, an egg... we were just taking a long time to get them all together and get started on making the meatloaf.

so... two weeks later... ...

"kim, nick'll only be done at 8.30... dad and i will be eating out with nick." mum said. (she planned to give the little * a treat after tennis. of course... he has to have his treat... how else can he maintain his curvaceous figure? (he has curves in all the wrong parts of his body. heh)

"...so kim, why dont you make the meatloaf for the rest at home?" mum continued. good idea. i immediately got mimi and mel to help me put all the ingredients together and pop it into the oven.

an hour later, our first meatloaf was finally done. it looked more like a pie than a loaf. but it was nice. :) .. hey, the smilie here is nice. it has a curvy mouth... hehe.

mel, mimi and i had our share and saved the rest for mum and dad.

it was really tasty and dad enjoyed it:)
:)
:)
:)
i like the smilies as much as i liked the meatloaf. :)

anyway... so we've been making lots of meatloaf since:) yep.

.

it's 5 more days to megacamp. everyone's excited:) we'll be going to pahang and we'll be doing quite a bit of hiking... if i'm not wrong. mum went for the parents' meeting that day and she said that we'll be going to some cave and on a 4-something- buggy :) so wei qin, hwee xian and ruby planned to go together :)

alright. little thing's peeking over my shoulder at my post now. bye!

haha... my first post this year ._.

hi everyone!

i've been too busy to post lately because i had lots of things to do like:

1. joining the sec 1s for orientation, which took up 4 days

2. catching up on work with the class

3. there were band practices (now we're having compulsory sectionals

every week.... fortunately it's not everyday of the week! hehe.)

4. we have sports enrichment every wednesday, which i quite enjoy :)
thankfully i was not put into dancing or fencing or archery... yeah. in other words, i got my 1st choice:) hehe.
5. lots of other stuff which might take a long time to explain.
yeah. also, another reason why i did not blog for a l-o-n-g time was because i didn't know what to write about.

but now i do.

this is De-tail, Chloe's little pal:) and mine too. It's so cute isnt It? hehe. look at this one of It acting cool...
ar..i can't find it. maybe i deleted it by mistake. anyway, you can still see it, by tilting your head to your left, so De-tail looks like It is leaning against a wall.... cool yeah?
anyway this is Chloe in a pot. she loved it. her fur looks really nice in the water. like a polar bear. nice.
ok.. aah...she's so adorable, she's sleeping on the sofa now, among some cushions. imagine this: her fast asleep, dreaming (i think dogs do dream. once i found Chloe whimpering and moving her paws vigorously in her sleep).... way up in the sky.... somewhere over the rainbow, way up high, there's a little doggie, waiting to get some treats.
haha!
i was thinking of dorothy from the wizard of oz. i borrowed the dvd from school last week. we watched it everyday of the week. it was the original version of the show. a classic. you should watch it too. :)
i was quite disappointed, though, when the librarian said that the show was in black and white. but she was WRONG! haha! and i was happy. hehe. very happy. haha......
alright.. hey! what do you think of the new pe shorts? nana said that it wasnt what she'd think it'd be (or something like this) but it was an improvement. i thought so too. :) fiona, however, doesnt like it. i forgot why.
anyway i was quite happy today. i found really suitable tunes for our english creative component :) yep. yipee! haha. i found a total of 6 tunes, and watched a video showing michael jackson and the home alone guy, throwing what seemed like water balloons over their balcony, to the tune: you've got a friend in me. i thought it was really nice. haha.
ok. i've got to go.
till my next post,
i bid thee adieu!

It's Christmas Eve! Hurrah!

Tomorrow's Christmas and i can't wait! haha... this year for Christmas, unlike past Christmas-es, we have a live tree from Sweden! haha... but in Singapore's weather, it cant survive without ice! so everyday we've got to change the ice under the tree! haha.... but i dont really do that... my sister does it... she's rather....efficient. haha. mum said that it was past midnight that day and Amelia was changing the ice. while i was asleep. hehe. mom was... touched...

Tonight, there'll be Midnight mass, and i'm not sure if we're going...... Yesterday was the first time we went to church in like.,..... i dont know...... 7 months? haha. yep. and it was a new church, because we've shifted! yahoo!!!.... but going to a new church isnt all that good.... we went for the evening mass and found out that it was a Chinese one! argh. so we had to put up with the chinese-y tunes... or maybe only I had to put up with it.... Mel was thrilled... "ooh...there's another c-u-r-l-y part... ah--a (up)---ah (down) ---ah (lower) -- ah (the same pitch as the first ah) " ok...it was a little interesting... haha.

i'm finishing the last bits of my homework... the chinese comic about the little prince. i was stuck on it for the whole of December. i couldnt understand a word in the book. but i somehow managed to ...sorta.....finish it.... in the end...... well.....at least , something like it. hah

We've been having lotsa band practices these two months... in preparation for the cca fair in january.

oh...last night, i was amused by this video of the birth of 5 adorable maltese puppies. really amusing. they were so cute. like naked mole rats. haha. squeaking and trying to find their way around... haha. there were 3 parts for that video.. then there was a video of them 1 week old and another 2-3 weeks old and 6-7 weeks and finally 8-9 weeks old. they're soo adorable you'd want to have puppies! i, personally, didnt like the idea of Chloe having puppies, as suggested by... people.... but now i think it's quite alright. haha... ah... but Amelia's still not convinced. haha.

ok.... i think i should finish the comic now... haha. i dont want to leave it undone... haha

Happy Christmas everyone.... and a happier new year!

oh... if you wanna view the video, just go to youtube, type in 'puppies maltese' and click on the video called ' Dog birth of 5 cute puppies'

have fun! haha.

Last week of school's here!

This is our last week of school.... and we'll get our report books back too... We did have lots of fun this term. hah. (i dont feel like blogging anymore... i'm in a really uncomfortable position... Chloe's on my lap and she's trying to jump off and it's not like i dont want her off my lap... she has to stay so that she wont get poked by the broken clay frame, which the orang utana is cleaning up. It fell after being blown off a table-top by the strong wind...hmm...)
Tomorrow we're going to PL primary! haha.... we're going there for the Christmas Service... yay.. :) i'm really looking forward to it, since Rosyth didn't have such stuff... haha... and i can't wait to be inside the hall... i've noticed it's air-conditioned too! ok...now debris is cleared. Doggie can go down and so can i.... bye!

History's History!

Yay! we just completed ALL the exams of the year! haha! no more exams! yeah! anyway...i'm quite pleased with my history marks...although i didnt get the marks i expected for my project.
:( but that's ok... hehe
i found out later that i had the same marks as Wei qin... hehe, and just 2 marks shy of the highest in our class. oh well... hmmm...nevermind...

Anyway, we went to the Asian Civilisation Museum yesterday. we were allowed to roam around the entire museum by ourselves, in groups, to complete a worksheet given to us. then we saw this humongous artifact of a head ... esther let out a tiny shriek at that...haha. then victoria had a shock and probably thought something had gone wrong. hah! next, we saw, yet another, enormous figure...2 of them, actually, they had dark-coloured faces and hair was surrounding their faces. fiona was afraid to look at them... so esther and i went by ourselves to take a look. once we finished our worksheet, we all assembled at the main entrance. we were greeted by bunch of Rosyth-ians... they were in Pri 3, they weren't in the museum, though... they merely took shelter there... it started to rain...they were on a river-side walk or something of that sort. my brother went on the same trip the day before.

okok... so we were standing around the main entrance, gulping down lots of water. ( we were not allowed to drink in the museum since certain artifacts were "sensitive to water/light [so no cameras] " soon after, we were led around another exhibit by three sec 3s. they were our guides for the day and brought us around to explain and show us the beauty of Asia...that was the name of the exhibit( if i'm not wrong...but i'm certain it's "Beauty of " something )

the dentist "mystery"...

i vaguely remember....
it was a saturday in 2001...
my mom and i left for a dental appointment with my school dentist.
i wasnt a tad bit afraid. :)
when we arrived, a broad-shouldered, huge-sized, middle-aged dentist asked if i were kimberly... "yes..."i timidly answered...i dont know why i was timid....maybe i was just threatened by her size... she was going to work on my teeth. she could do ANYTHING to them. ok. "hey, why dont you take a look at my 3-D picture. spot the animals in it... or you can test your patience by playing this game." she offered. we had to arrange the 5 metal balls, according to their size, in a line on this uneven ground in this box. i have to admit... i was kinda entertained. hehe:) then... it my turn had arrived. "kimberly! come here. let me check on your teeth,ok?" she asked. i so-wanted to say no. it was a question anyway! but, being an obedient, naive and innocent seven- year- old, i complied.

i settled down on the chair and looked at her tools. they looked like drills to me! she dotted my facial moles on her written record and began working on my teeth.

first, she filled my molars with some dental paste. she used the "drill" to do that. oh, and the "drill" not only looked like a drill, but also felt like a drill. ouch. i could feel it's vibrations enter my head...into my brain....eeeeeeeeeeee....... i shut my eyes in pain and tears, like beads, rolled out of my eyes... :'( then... she scaled my teeth. that was ok until she, hopefully, accidentally poked my gums. she handed me a mirror. gosh. what a thing to do to an innocent 7-year-old. i watched the blood flow around my teeth. i was terrified. i could taste the blood. it was disgusting.

that was my first dental appointment in my primary school.

just a few days ago, on the 25th of july, our class went for our dental appointment. the dentist was nice. she, too, showed us her 3-D picture. we could spot the animals. then we were allowed to play the mind- game.... it was getting kinda freaky similar to my primary school experience.

>.<

then my turn came. she asked me which primary school i was from and when i told her i was from rosyth, she immediately exclaimed that she was there in 2001. AHHHH! so it could be here! that explained all the games. 3D pictures, and everything...how she treated us and all! so... she MIGHT be the dentist who remained in my mind for the past 6 years as the dentist who poked my gums.

the WALK-a-jog and my birthday...:)yeah!

time flies when you're enjoying yourself...that phrase describes my june holidays. anyway...the first week of school has just ended.... for us in plmgs, we spent yesterday at east coast park. we had a WALK-A-JOG...but it kinda ended up more like a WALK-ONLY-UNLESS-YOU-WANNA-BE-THE-FIRST-FEW-TO-REACH-THE-END...yep, when the buzzer buzzed, signalling us to walk/jog/run/at least move, simply walked, much to my suprise. (i thought everyone would run...i dont know why but i just did>.<)

so in the end, fiona, izabella and i decided we just HAD to run... well... a tiny bit... so we could come in like first 50 to win points for our house....and fiona came in 13th, izabella, 15th and i came in 14th.. hehe ._.

oh.and yesterday was my birthday but wei qin gave me a 3cm black-metal bone on the first day of school...and fiona had the entire class write wishes on coloured cards ( including ms liang... i really had no idea she did... o.0 )

and gave it to me on thursday...that was interesting and nice.. :)

my mom gave me fun stuff too... there was this little green plastic egg that was a chop and a rollie-polly...no matter how hard you push it, it wouldn't fall... here it is:it's really cute...the rabbit i mean...

and my mom and dad also gave me other nice stuff too...

but the rollie-polly's my favourite...

oh...recently dogs have been visiting our school. they're from noah's ark. Noah's Ark brought some of their products like stationery, files, note books and T-shirts along with their dogs.

1-1 and 1-2 were in charge of selling the products while 1-3 was in charge of the dog photography. students or anybody in the school could take pictures with the dogs for $5....all the money raised was for Noah's Ark...

the dogs were really adorable but NOT as cute as MY Chloe:
