From Kuching to Korea!

June's here again, and I know Mom has much in store for all of us, not just me, the Birthday Girl! ;)

Every year we do something different, and you would never be able to guess! (That's usually why surprises are special.)

Just a year ago, around this time, we had a little adventure in the Land of the Cats- 24 hours in Kuching!

A year ago, I was still busy with school. Holidays, no matter how short, would have been unimaginable! But hey~ I'm Kimpossible!

When night fell, it was time to bring out the drinks (just because..)

I mean... I had some birthday balloons, and I'm Lovin' it :)

We had a nice ride along the river, past the temple and some landmarks...

And the sun was shining perfectly during our 24 hours in Kuching!

So June's here once more, and guess where we're off to this year!

 I'll give you a hint: It's Summer, so I can wear these new shades mummy dearest just got me!

You probably guessed right! We're off to Korea to celebrate my birthday and I'm stoked. Like I'm learning Korean as much as I can right now to brace myself in the event that we meet our favourite KBS Stars, yknow?

Nah ;) I'm just kidding.. but yknow, it will be useful to know a little Korean, just so I could ask for some 김치 for 김

Just Catching up!

We've been so busy lately! Just last weekend was Mother's Day and we had a surprise getaway in store for mummy dearest! Look this way: Mother's Day Daytripping!

Other days, Ben and I whip up goodies in the kitch ;)

The Mother's Day Weekend is here! And we all know what that means~ surprise after surprise, especially for the Queen of Westwood, our mummy dearest!

Even our orchids seemed to be beautifully in full-bloom, honoring mummy dearest this special weekend! 

I like making early-morning milkshakes for my favourite people (actually I'll make them anytime of the day).

And Chloe got a little tidied up for Mother's Day!

Benji and I got creative in the kitchen and guess what we made for mummy dearest!

I was so excited to top the cupcakes off with its lemon-fluff, and the cupcakes were still hot, so the zesty-clouds melted into a kind of sauce. But that worked well too! Everyone loved it, mummy dearest was full of praise, and that's all that matters!

Twin Dresses and Blu Jaz

I'd been meaning to check out Blu Jaz, and got my chance last week! Mel had dinner plans with her friend James, and asked me to come along...

"Only if we wear our matching dresses!" I said, and she obliged!

So off we went, bright dresses to match our mood...
And we were happy recipients of praises on account of our dresses that day... Haji Lane is after all a little fashion statement in itself!

Walking through the back alley, we came across one of the more prominent big murals, and Mel caught the moment!

 Blu Jaz is such a cosy joint, perfect for catching up and nice light-hearted conversation :)

I love how they used a headless-plastic mannequin as a lamp-shade-body (literally)...

 

All the eclectic furniture made for a riot of colour, and it's such a photogenic place! Blu Jaz, you haven't let me down ;)

It was great mid-week fun  playing dress-up with my favouritest che in the world, meeting Mel's travel buddy James, tucking into zesty-lemony-buttery-however-you'd-like-to-call-it-grilled-sammmy, and sipping on some cocktails and beer :D
Before we knew it, it was way past midnight... As they say, time flies when you're having drinks... hahaha, nah, time flies when you're in good company ;) And that I was!
